House of Mugam (“we”) runs mugam.app, where photographers, filmmakers and other creatives build portfolio sites. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions go to hello@mugam.app.

What we collect

  • Your account. Your email address. If you sign in with Google, also the name and profile photo Google shares with us.
  • What you put on your site. Your name, craft, city, tagline, bio, links, and the contact details you choose to show, such as an email address, WhatsApp number or Instagram handle. Once you publish your site, this is public.
  • Your photos. The files you upload. We keep each original privately and publish resized copies. Every published copy has its location (GPS) and camera details removed.
  • Enquiries. When someone contacts a creator through their site, the name, email address, phone number, event details and message they send.
  • Technical details. Your IP address and when you ask for sign-in codes, which we use to stop repeated attempts. Our hosting providers keep standard server logs.
  • Cookies. One cookie keeps you signed in, and a short-lived one is used during Google sign-in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies, and no analytics.

Why we use it

  • To run your account and your site.
  • To email you sign-in codes and messages about your account.
  • To pass each enquiry to the creator it was sent to.
  • To prevent abuse and keep the service secure.

We don't sell personal data, and we don't use it for advertising.

Who else handles it

A few providers help us run House of Mugam. They handle data on our behalf, not for their own use:

  • Railway: hosting and our database, in Singapore.
  • Cloudflare: our domain, network and photo storage.
  • Resend: sending email.
  • Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google.

Some of these providers process data outside India.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and site for as long as your account exists. Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes, and you're signed out after 30 days. When you delete a photo, we delete its original and every copy from storage.

To delete your account and everything in it, email hello@mugam.app from the address you signed up with. We'll do it within 30 days.

Your choices and rights

You can change most of your details yourself in your dashboard. You can also ask us to show you, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw your consent, by emailing hello@mugam.app. If we don't resolve a complaint, you can take it to the Data Protection Board of India.

Age

House of Mugam is for people aged 18 and over.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top. We'll email account holders about significant changes.
